Akua Puali Homestead

Non profit society
Our Vision

Akua Puali will be a permanent supportive home for adults with special needs.

The farm will consist of green houses, chicken coop and an activity center.

The communities will be able to buy starter plants and flowers that are

created in the green houses.
This will be a permanent supportive home which will house 8 to 10 people.

We will have two respite rooms for families who need a break.
Activities will be created for the farm including gardening in the green houses, art center, feeding farm animals, collecting eggs, as well as working in the store selling plants to the locals.
Each room will consist of a bedroom, sitting area and private bathroom.

Members of the house will take turns cooking and cleaning with supervision;

Colleges in the surrounding areas will be notified for students needing to do a practicum, such as art therapy, cooking for the students in culinary, and any other courses which require practicum hours.
The farm will be surrounded by a fence and gate for protection from animals and for security in the evening.  Staff will be on 24/7 in different capacities.
The goal is to help these individuals be part of the community as they live in an environment which encourages self esteem in learning new projects or getting involved with activities within the community.

The general public will be encouraged to come and work along side these special people.
